菅政権支持率は20ポイントも下がってしまいました。これがマスコミの情報操作なのかどうかわかりませんが。
いずれにしても、経済を優先したため今の状態を招いたと言われても仕方ないですね。
菅首相には、携帯料金の値下げやディジタルの推進など、がんっばって欲しいです。
なんとか、数字で結果を示さないと9月で終わりになりかねません。

epitome + -izeなので、epitomeを調べます。Etymology dictionaryによれば、from Greek epitome "an abridgment, a cutting on the surface; brief summary," from epitemnein "cut short, abridge," from epi "into" + temnein "to cut" とあるので、ギリシャ語の epitomeが語源のようです。epitemneinの変形バージョンでしょうか？epi 「外に」 + temnein 「切る」。
原子のatomですが、tomはtemneinから来ているようで、aは否定語なので、これ以上分割できないことを意味します。
「外に切る」は、何かこれ以上分けられない本質的なものを切って別にところに置く、みたいな感じですかね。
意味
Oxford learner's dictionariesによれば、epitomize somethingの形で、 to be a perfect example of somethingとあります。「～の典型となる」の意味です。
epitomeが「要約」、「典型」の意味があるので(語源からもうなづける意味です)納得です。
