さて、最近、芸能界でもそうですが、大麻を乱用する若者の数が急増しているようです。
日本の厚生労働省は、すでに世界で最も厳しい反大麻法を強化しようとしています。
一生に一度以上大麻を吸った人の割合は、2012年のカナダの41.5％、2014年の米国の44.2％、2012年のドイツの23.1%と比較して、2019年の日本ではわずか1.8％ですけどね。
でも、体に一体どれくらいの悪い影響があるのでしょうね？

Etymology dictionaryによれば、late 14c., "grasp with the senses or mind;" early 15c. as "grasp, take hold of" physically, from Latin apprehendere "to take hold of, grasp," from ad "to" + prehendere "to seize" とあります。
ラテン語のapprehendereが語源で、 “to take hold of”, from ad- “to” + prehendere “to seize”、つかむという意味のようです。
意味
Oxford learner's dictionariesによれば、1)apprehend somebody (of the police)で、 to catch somebody and arrest them、2)apprehend something (old-fashioned) でto understand or recognize somethingと説明があります。1)は「～を逮捕する」2)は「～を理解する」です。語源から理解できます。
