2021/7/12(Mon)はoppress です。
G20 hails cooperation, but eased U.S.-China tensions not in sight"と言う記事からです。

語源
Etymology Dictionaryによれば、from Old French opresser "oppress, afflict; torment, smother" (13c.), from Medieval Latin oppressare, frequentative of Latin opprimere "press against, press together, press down;" figuratively "crush, put down, subdue, prosecute relentlessly" (in Late Latin "to rape"), from assimilated form of ob "against" (see ob-) + premere "to press, hold fast, cover, crowd, compress" とあります。
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、 to treat somebody in a cruel and unfair way, especially by not giving them the same freedom, rights, etc. as other people と説明があります。
