en「中へ入れる」+snare「罠」です。snareはEtymology Dictionaryによれば、"noose for catching animals," late Old English, from a Scandinavian source such as Old Norse snara "noose, snare," related to soenri "twisted rope," from Proto-Germanic *snarkho. とあります。古ノドル語snara、ゲルマン祖語の*snarkhoが由来のようです。動物を捕らえる為の罠の事みたいですね。
