さて、「敵基地攻撃能力」について、盛んに議論が行われるようになりました。
中共や北朝鮮のミサイル開発（韓国のレーダ照射も）などを考えれば、迎撃のみでは防衛しきれない恐れがあるので、専守防衛の考えを維持しながら「反撃能力」は持つべきでしょう。
今のウクライナをみればわかりますが、弱いと思ったら敵は攻めてきます。強いと思ったら、戦って負けそうだと思ったら敵は絶対に攻めてきません。憲法9条では守れません。ただこれだけです。
今回のこの議論について、中共がいちゃもんを付けているようですが、どの口が言う？ですね。
ところで、中共の軍の装備はロシアのパクリだと思いますが、ロシア軍や兵器がポンコツだったとわかった今、もしかして中共の人民解放軍もポンコツだったりしないでしょうか？

意味
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、to involve something that cannot be avoided と説明があります。「～を必然的に伴う」です。語源に繋がるような、そうでないような。あまりピンときませんね。

retaliateは、to do something harmful to somebody because they have harmed you firstの事です。
