さて、過去数週間で、ロシアとの戦いに参加するために立ち上がった何千人もの志願兵が行方不明になったり、捕らえられたりしているようです。
先週、ロシアに捕虜にされた2人の英国人とモロッコ人は、ロシア占領下のウクライナ東部で死刑を宣告されました。なんともひどい話です。
ロシアは、捕虜となった外国人戦闘員の一部は傭兵であり、国際法の下で捕虜として保護される資格がないと主張しています。
このウクライナとロシアの戦争は今後一体どうなってしまうのでしょうか？

Etymology Dictionaryによれば、"disposed to resist lawful restraint," c. 1400, from un- (1) "not" + obsolete ruly (adj.) "amenable to rule."です。rulyは使われなくっているようですが、c. 1400, reuleli, "conforming to (religious) rule; amenable to rule, disciplined, orderly," from rule (n.) + -ly (2). Modern use (19c. and after) probably is usually a back-formation.という事です。ruleから来てます。

Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、difficult to control or manageと説明があります。「〔人・組織・動物などがルールに従わず〕手に負えない」の意味です。

platoonはa small group of soldiers that is part of a company and commanded by a lieutenant、outfitはa group of people working together as an organization, business, team, etc.の事です。
