さて、7月の新型コロナウイルス感染症の急増と生活費の増加の中で、日本の家計は支出を削減し、実質賃金も低下し、日本経済の回復はまだはっきりしてないようです。
家計支出は、家具、衣類、保険への支出が減少したため、6月から1.4％減少したそうです。
別のレポートでは、名目賃金の伸びが鈍化している一方で、インフレ調整後の賃金は低下しており、家計の購買力がさらに低下しているとの事です。
家計は円のさらなる下落に伴うインフレ上昇の打撃を受け、それは必然的に個人消費を押し下げており、今後の3か月で日本のコアインフレ率が3％に達する可能性が高まっているという説もあります。
こんな中で政府は海外に莫大なお金を投資したりと、我々の税金を使いまくってますが、消費税を廃止するなど国内経済にもしっかり目を向けてほしいものです。

古フランス語のestat、ラテン語のstatus、印欧祖語の*sta-が由来のようです。全部「位置、場所、状態」の意味です。という事で、reinstateは「再び、元あった状態にする」と言う感じでしょうか？
意味
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、to return something to its previous position or statusと説明があります。「をもとに戻す」の意味です。もうひとつ、to give back a job or position that had been taken away from somebody、つまり「復職させる」の意味もあります。

hold back fromは、to hesitate or to make somebody hesitate to act or speakg、「～を控える」です。
