さて、厚労省は、健康保険証制度を原則として廃止し、マイナンバーの使用を促進することを計画しているようです。
実は、2021年10月20日からマイナンバーカードを健康保険証として利用できるようになっているそうです。全然知りませんでした。
メリットは、転職などの環境の変化があった際に、新しい健康保険証の発行を待つことなく、医療機関や薬局を利用できること、急な入院や高額な費用の治療を受けるのに、一時支払いもしなくて良い等があるとのこと。
デメリットは、今現在すべての病院や薬局がマイナンバーカードに対応できていないこと、そして、窓口負担の金額が上がることだそうです。
初診はひと月につき21円、再診・外来は12円、調剤は9円が上乗せされるみたいですよ。そこまで大きな負担ではないですが、ちりつもです。

語源
名詞が先のようです。Etymology Dictionaryによれば、hampyre, probably a contraction of Anglo-French hanaper, from Old French hanepier "case for holding a large goblet or cup;" in medical use "skull," also "helmet; armored leather cap," from hanap "goblet, chalice," from Frankish or some other Germanic source. The first -a- may be a French attempt to render Germanic hn- into an acceptable Romanic form. The English word also meant "the department of Chancery into which fees were paid for sealing and enrolling charters, etc." (15c.). とあります。
アングロフランス語のhanaper、古フランス語のhanepierの「大きなかご」から来てるようです。
ここには書いてありませんが、14世紀後半になると、「かごの中にある」ことから「動きや行動が妨げられる」というニュアンスが出てきて、「足枷」「拘束具」という意味としても使われるようになったとの事。そして動詞へ、という流れのようです。
意味
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、to prevent somebody from easily doing or achieving something と説明があります。「～を邪魔する」です。
