さて、中国共産党の習近平国家主席は月曜日にモスクワに到着し、ウクライナとロシアとの戦争を終わらせるために中共の提案をするなど、ロシアのウラジーミル・プーチン大統領と会談しました。
プーチンにしてみれば、ウクライナ情勢をめぐってアメリカなどと対立を深める中、ロシアというか自分の存続をかけた戦争という位置づけで、中国共産党との関係を強化する以外に選択肢がない訳です。
どんな提案をするのかよくわかりませんが、中国共産党がロシアを事実上の”子分”にしてしまうのでしょうか？巨大な、一党独裁のならず者国家の誕生です。

アングロフランス語のvaunter、古フランス語のvanter「称賛する」、中世ラテン語のvanitare「自慢する」、ラテン語のvanare「空の言葉を発する」の反復形という感じでしょうか、印欧祖語の*wano-あたりまで遡るようです。

補足
regardは、上記の場合は名詞で、holdの目的語になっていると思われます。
