さて、中国共産党は最近、徴兵制を修正し、中国が戦争状態に入った場合、退役軍人や高度な教育を受けた学生らを優先的に招集する方針を示しました。間違いなく台湾侵攻に備えての準備で、ウクライナーロシアの戦争を見ての判断だと思います。
これまでは年1回だった徴兵・退役は、2020年から年2回になり、今年3月には指揮官や下士官の退役年齢を引き上げる新たな「予備役人員法」というのが施行されていたそうです。
あってないような中国の法律では18歳以上の男性に2年の兵役義務があるものの、実際は志願制で新兵を募っているそうです。
一人っ子政策で大事に育てられた中国の若者が志願するのか、はたまはた、中国では就職難なので進んで志願するのか、よくわかりませんが。。

フランス語のentrantがそのまま使われているようですね。別の辞典によれば、中英語 entreが由来のようです。

call upは句動詞で、to make somebody do their training in the army, etc. or fight in a warです。
