さて、また台湾と中共の話です。多いですね。
ちょっと前まで、チャイナマネーに目がくらんでいた沢山の国々が、脱中共、親台湾になりつつあります。
オーストラリア、日本は言うまでもなく、フランス、リトアニア、、、
台湾の今年の経済成長率は6％と予測されており、半導体チップでは世界最先端ですし、政治的にもクリーンなイメージがあります。
中共が台湾を威嚇すればするほど、他の国は台湾に近づくと言う皮肉な結果になってます。

belligerent + -ence.ですが、belligerentは、Etymology Dictionaryによれば、from Latin belligerantem (nominative belligerans), past participle of belligerare "to wage war," とあります。ラテン語 belligerans 、belligerare の現在分詞形が語源のようです。belは「戦争」の事です。と言っても、belの付く単語ってあまり知りませんが。
意味
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、unfriendly and aggressive feelings or behaviour、the state of fighting a war or the act of going to war と説明があります。「喧嘩腰の態度、好戦的」「交戦中」です。
