concurは復習です。この単語はレベル10、英検1級以上だそうです。
さて、今日は憲法改正に向けての話です。
今回の選挙結果として、自民党、公明党、日本維新の会（日本維新の会）、国民民主党といった、憲法改正に前向きな4つの政党が、衆議院の465議席の3分の2以上を確保しました。
一方で、憲法改正に断固反対の、立憲民主党（CDP）と共産党は、それぞれ議席数を110議席から96議席に、12議席から10議席に減らしました。
ちなみに、憲法改正を支持するそれら四党は、参議院ではすでに議席の３分の２以上を占めているので、急いで議論して改正に踏み切って欲しいものです。
日本の今の状況を見れば、憲法改正は必要不可欠だと思います。
マスコミは、理由もなく憲法改正の悪い面だけを強調した記事や報道をしないでほしい。今の日本国民は憲法改正の必要性を感じていると言う結果になったわけですから。

Etymology Dictionaryによれば、early 15c., "collide, clash in hostility," from Latin concurrere "to run together, assemble hurriedly; clash, fight," in transferred use, "to happen at the same time," from assimilated form of com "together" (see con-) + currere "to run". Sense of "to coincide, happen at the same time" is 1590s; that of "to agree in opinion" is 1580s in English. とあります。
ラテン語のconcurrereが語源ですね。con-「一緒に」とcurrere「走る」から構成されています。もとは「一緒に走る」でしたが、1590年代に「同時に起こる」、1580年台に英語で「意見に同意する」になったようです。そういえば、電流のcurrentもcurrereに関連している事を思い出しました。
意味
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、to agree とだけ説明があります。「同意する」です。concur with sombody in something、concur with something、concur thatの形で使われます。concurは自動詞なので、concur thatについては、concur (with) thatでwithが抜け落ちたのでしょうか？
