今日は、日本と韓国の関係改善についての記事です。

関係改善を進めるには、韓国側が国際法違反の判決を無効化することが先決で、話し合いなんて必要なのでしょうか。

また、韓国による日本ＥＥＺ内での海洋調査についての抗議もしっかりやって欲しいです。

何一つ約束を守らず、口だけで行動をしない国とは距離を置いた方が良いと思います。これまで通り、これまで以上に厳しい態度で韓国に臨んでほしい。

 語源 

Etymology Dictionaryによれば、from French alluder or directly from Latin alludere "to play, make fun of, joke, jest," also of waves lapping the shore, from assimilated form of ad "to" (see ad-) + ludere "to play" (see ludicrous). Meaning "make an indirect reference, point in passing" is from 1530s.  とあります。フランス語のalluder、ラテン語のalludereから来てます。alはad-のことで「～へ」、ludereは「演じる」でillusionも同じ系統です。

 意味 

alludeは自動詞なのでallude toで使われますが、Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、to mention something in an indirect way と説明があります。「～についてほのめかす」の意味です。語源の説明から「（考えが）特定の方向に行くように演じる」というニュアンスがあることがわかるので、「ほのめかす」と言う意味になったのでしょう。

 補足 
assertiveは、​expressing opinions or desires strongly and with confidence, so that people take notice の事です。have never been importantは、これまでずっと重要ではないと言う意味ですが、裏返すと、今は重要だという事ですね。
