さて、今日は北朝鮮による拉致に関する記事です。
拉致問題解決を目指した小泉首相の初訪朝から、17日で20年となってます。
その後、時は流れ、日本政府が安倍政権だったころ、政府認定拉致被害者の田中実さんと、拉致の可能性を排除できないとしている金田龍光さんの「一時帰国」に関する提案を北朝鮮から受けていたことが16日、分かりました。
日本政府は、日本人拉致の長年の問題をこれで終わらせようとする可能性があることを恐れて、北朝鮮の提案を断ったそうです。
このお二人に関しては、「妻子と共に暮らしている」と北朝鮮が説明してます。

Etymology Dictionaryによれば、from Anglo-French leve, from Old French levée "act of raising," noun use of fem. past participle of lever "to raise" (from PIE root *legwh- "not heavy, having little weight;" compare levee). Originally of taxes, later of men for armies (c. 1500).です。
アングロフランス語のleve、古フランス語のlevéeが由来のようです。raise「（資金などを）集める」がもとの意味らしいです。税金を徴収する、兵役義務を提供するに関連してます。
