disparityは復習です。レベル10、英検1級以上の単語です。
さて、日本の実質賃金は、政府の要求にもかかわらず、11 か月連続で下落しているようです。2月の実質現金収入は、エコノミストの予測と一致してるようで、前年比で2.6％減少しています。
ただし、今春闘で賃金引き上げが1993 年以来最大の 3.8%アップとなったこと、インフレは年後半に向けて落ち着くはずとの見方もあり、4月以降、賃金は名目ベースで本格的に伸び始めると予測されています。
若い人の収入が改善され、子育ても十分にできる環境になってほしいです。が、その前に私のような定年2年前くらいの世代って賃金はどうなるのでしょうか？

Etymology Dictionaryによれば、from French disparité (16c.), from Medieval Latin disparitatem (nominative disparitas) "inequality," from dis- "not" (see dis-) + paritas "parity," from Latin adjective par (genitive paris) "equal" (see par (n.)).です。
フランス語のdisparité、中世ラテン語のdisparitatem(主格はdisparitas)が由来です。dis-は否定の意味、paritasはラテン語のpar「同じ」の意味です。なので、同じ状態ではないという事です。

Workers at smaller businesses and part-time employees also saw similar levels of wage gains in their annual spring pay negotiations, according to the latest tally from Rengo, Japan’s biggest labor union. “These results suggest there’s progress in efforts to correct the disparity by employment status,” Tomoko Yoshino, the union leader, said at a press briefing on Wednesday. *1
