さて、政府は、2020年ごろ問題になった日本学術会議の会員の選び方などを見直す法律の改正案について、今の国会への提出を見送ることを決めました。
改正案は、会員の選考に関与する第三者委員会を新たに設けることが柱ですが、学術会議側は、「独立性が損なわれる」などと反発していたようです。
この日本学術会議は正式には政府から独立した大きな学術機関で、内閣総理大臣の直接の管轄下に置かれ、税金による資金で運営されてます。
そもそも国の機関なのに国の役に立たず、透明性が無い、こんな組織ははやくぶっ潰すべきではないでしょうか？
「独立性」云々ごちゃごちゃと、よくわからない偉い先生が言うのであれば、ばっさり切って民間にしちゃえば良いのです。

ラテン語のapparatus「ツール、器具、機器; 準備、準備」が由来のようです。同じくラテン語のapparare「prepare」の過去分詞なのでしょうか？

Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによれば、今日の記事に関連深いのは以下です。一般的には「装置」と訳される場合が殆どですが、下記の意味になった理由はわかりません。
